I love technology. It's my passion. EAST has helped me expand upon my technical knowledge. It has provided real world applicable skills that I would never have gained from my core classes. EAST has a way of provoking student growth. Challenge means improvement, and without challenge you can't necessarily become any smarter. Think of it like lifting weights, if you don't lift enough weight your muscles won't get stronger. You need enough challenge to learn. If you aren't challenging yourself you aren't learning. EAST has a way of improving and challenging everyone, unlike the core classes where the smart people are bored because they can't learn anything new, and the basic students cannot grow because the challenge may be too much. Despite where you are; EAST challenges you enough so that you can adequately grow. Over the past year in EAST I have created two websites, this one, and the Ozark STEM Interface which is a website still in development that connects teachers and students with STEM professionals. The aim is to help students learn things that they would've never before.
